I feel at home whenever

My Sensei Seigo Okamoto of the Roppokai Daito Ryu Aikijujutsu has been hit by a stroke and “sufered cerebral infarction”. I wish you a speedy recovery to regain good health so you can practice your beloved Daito Ryu Aikijujutsu in Roppokai and enjoy your life fully again.

I have had the great privilege of training under Seigo Okamoto Sensei for the past 4 years in the Daitoryu Aikijujutsu Roppokai Copenhagen branch. Attending joyfully almost every single practice including the many seminars in Denmark, Norway and Japan.

I treasure all the times spend in the dojo with my classmates, the leader of the danish sibu Ole Kingston (Know from the movie “Aiki”) and Okamoto Sensei practicing art of Daito Ryu Aikijujutsu.

When visiting Okamoto Sensei in Tokyo as a newcomer and foreigner I was welcomed and showed hospitality as a member of the Roppokai family.

Thank you for your teachings, my heart goes out to you.

Dear friend,

Thank you for sending me this heart felt email. You convey your emotions so beautiful and strong. I think and feel like this. I try to welcome and accept al my emotions - maybe you could do this too? I know its hard. I for sure do not want to be taking capture by the emotions of despair, anger and hate. When times are hard and I fall into the trap of emotional struggle or break up, I try to treasure the loving moments we have spend together. I try to forgive my self for my errors and mixed emotions and I try to forgive her with the sincerity of my heart. I know in my heart that I cannot change the past, so I try to accept the past and let it go. Its like I cannot hold on to any single breath of mine. The loving moments of my childhood belongs to the past. It is a time I cannot regain. I try to be thankful for what I have. I try to fill my heart with love. I try to be thankful for every moment I have in this life. I try to let go.. Everything changes ceaselessly just like the weather. And you know what? The weather is just the way it should be - and so are you!

(Written today to a friend in comfort after a break up)

Is there a difference between good and evil?
Must I fear what others fear? What nonsense!
Other people are contented, enjoying the sacrificial feast of the ox.
In spring some go to the park, and climb the terrace,
But I alone am drifting, not knowing where I am.
Like a newborn babe before it learns to smile,
I am alone, without a place to go.
Others have more than they need, but I alone have nothing.
I am a fool. Oh, yes! I am confused.
Others are clear and bright,
But I alone am dim and weak.
Others are sharp and clever,
But I alone am dull and stupid.
Oh, I drift like the waves of the sea,
Without direction, like the restless wind.
Everyone else is busy,
But I alone am aimless and depressed.
I am different.
I am nourished by the great mother.

It is generally recognised now that, although we have all these amazing decision-making strategies, people generally make decisions based on emotions.

Focus
What emotions also do is focus your attention. For example, if I was really angry with you, my attention would be focused on you. If I’m just curious about something, I would still have that level of attention but it would be much softer.

Information
Emotions also regulate the flow of information. So, if I’m really angry with you, the information flows from me to you. If I’m curious about something you’re saying, the information flows from you to me.

Energy
Emotions also regulate the flow of energy. So, when you have a strong emotion, the energy is going out of you. That’s why anger is so draining. When I’m curious or interested, I’m sucking in the information. So, emotions have a huge amount to do with our thinking.

I am using an Apple PowerBook G4 on the road and I would like to access my Mac computers seamlessly through the .mac technology “Back to My Mac” offered in Mac OS X Leopard. This provides easy access to file services and remote control through window sharing from desktop in Finder. The window sharing is similar to the Window Sharing service offered in iChat and that of Apple Remote Access.

The idea and promise from is no less than wonderful. For me this was a main reason reason to buy Mac OS X Leopard from Apple. From now on you do not have to think of domain names, dynamic domain names, bonjour identities, ip numbers, firewalls, security, passwords or even bother to start the service - it is just there under your fingertips. Or so I thought! Most of the time Back to My Mac works like a charm when on a local network, but as it turns out Back to My Mac only works sometimes on the Internet. If the moon and your lucky star is in conjunction.

I think Apple is very well aware of this fact and is working to solve issues related to Apple technologies. Some issues also involves Apple Remote Desktop. But there are unfortunately also other factors to be considered. There has been a lot of heated discussion about this topic in the the Apple Support Discussion Forums. Recently I have experienced that some of the threads oddly has disappeared from the forums.

Even with Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.2 I experience the following persistent problems:

1) Macs are unable to see each other over the Internet through Back to My Mac.
2) Back to My Mac Window Sharing asks unnecessarily for another password in mid session and will not accept the correct password.
3) Back to My Mac Service seems disappear and appear randomly.
4) Back to My Mac sometimes seem to break or interrupt access with Apple Remote Access.

What to do?

The legendary king of Chess and undefeated world champion Bobby Fisher died in a hospital in Reykjavik, Island. In 1958 he became the youngest Grandmaster of Chess. Through the times Bobby Fisher was exceptionally eccentric both in and out of the chess game. I am a true admire of his genius. Bobby Fisher won the world championship against Boris Spassky in Island in 1972.

In the end of January 2008 the Norwegian prince of Chess, Magnus Carlsen, won the prestigious Wijk an Zee Chess Tournament against the worlds best players including Radjabov, Kamnik and the current world champion Anand. By winning Magnus Carlsen achieved the highest rating in the world, an astonishing 2830. He is young. Magus Carlsen became a Chess Grand Master in 2004 at the age of 13. Magnus Carlsen is only 17 years old now! I have followed Magnus Carlsens fabulous ascend to the world top of Chess. A new king of mine and of the Chess world is born.
